It’s no surprise that Milkavelli AKA Olly AKA Don Silk AKA Monster Under The Bed AKA Ahki has made it to this list.

As one of the more enigmatic UK MC’s around at the moment, his latest body of work was his first solo project, meaning there was an element of curiosity in the air as the drop date got closer.

Cult Member provides it’s listeners with an experience that leaves you feeling a certain type of way. Whether it’s the ominous beat provided by Lee Scott and Jack Chard on the song Cold Outing or the hazy trip brought to you by Stones Throw legend, MNDSGN, there are various moods that this 16-track album can create. The album is full of juxtapositions in both lyrics and ambience, but none for so on the moving tune, ‘ZZZ’ featuring the late Lil Peep.

The US rapper who tragically lost his life between the album releasing and the 616 and friends launch party, provides a verse and a chilling hook on a beautiful piece of music – that being the case regardless of the sad context that has followed it.

Not only is Milkavelli known for being a ‘man of mystery’, it’s also important to remember that he’s been in various rap groups for almost a decade and is undoubtedly a UK Hip Hop legend. This is Milk’s debut full-length album which features some mad guesties from the likes of Suspect OTB, Bakar, fellow cult member – Lee Scott, Nah Eeto, Jesse James, Jaxxon D. Silva and of course, Lil Peep.

Brickcellphone gives the 616 God a solid 615 out of 616 for his debut solo album.
