It’s not long now until our debut jazz event at Patterns, when we’ll be bringing some local talent to the Jazz Club.
Chloe Bodur, Yadasofi and Ebi Soda are sure to provide something quite unique on September 26th but, if you want to carry the party on, you can do at our after party. Set at Badda Bing, the seafront venue named after that strip club on The Sopranos, we’ve got Brighton DJs taking you from post-gig until late.
Kirollus tops our bill, a vinyl lover whose Instagram page is worth paying to see itself. We’ve also got Brighton & Hove staples in Disco Juice and Between the Tropics. These two will be going back to back, playing all of disco, world music and jazz-influenced tracks.

💎 A real diamond died on March 13th. He brought many of us so much joy with his hearfelt music and will be sorely missed. Here we have a massive Tee Scott remix 12" of 'Diamond Real' from 1982! As well as releasing the classic Webster Lewis produced LP 'Love Conquers All' featuring the title track, Looking Up To You, Still Got The Magic and Diamond Real; Michael Wycoff sang backing vocals and played keys on Stevie Wonder's 'Pastime Paradise' and Gwen McRae's LP 'On My Way' (1982). Thank you so much for the all the blessed music that you've left behind 🙏 #michaelwycoff #websterlewis #boogiefunk #80sfunk #modernsoul #80ssoul #80sfunk #discofunk #teescott #RCArecords #steviewonder #lookinguptoyou #gwenmccrae #boogie80 #digginginthecrates #recorddigger
Expect to see some live instruments, too, as we open the floor and the stage to anyone who plays saxophone, trumpet, trombone or whatever else.
Set in the midst of Freshers’ Week in Brighton, it should be busy one at the Bing. Tickets are gonna be five quid on the door with guest list given to anyone who went to the initial Jazz… in Brighton event.
