British hip-hop veterans Sonnyjim and Illinformed have just dropped a brand new project, The Chemistry Must Be Respected.
A master of a hip-hop sub-genre we like to call ‘boast rap,’ Sonnyjim is one of the most consistent rappers this country has ever produced. Telling you what he’s up to in his lavish lifestyle of fine food and even finer narcotics, the Birmingham native does what he does better than anyone else on elegant beats from Illinformed.
Finely picked features from Hus KingPin, Jehst and Leaf Dog round up the latest release in Sonny’s vinyl discography. It’s a discography that has a tendency to sell out quickly, such is the nature of his and Daupe’s ‘Quality over Quantity’ slogan.
This one is an independent release from Sonnyjim, though, so need to scan Discogs for marked-up copies just yet. It’s a free download on Bandcamp at the minute as well.
