George Riley graces Oliver Palfreyman production with ‘cleanse me’

Got a new tune for ya. This time it’s from West London’s George Riley who returns, once again teaming up with long time collaborator, Oliver Palfreyman, for cleanse me.

George Riley is clearly a talented storyteller; her delicate tone and thought-provoking lyrics offer the listener an insight into the discussions surrounding the appropriation of the climate crisis, and the whitewashing of climate activism as a whole.

The opening line of the track “I remember sunny days, now the rain washes my tears away”, paints a solemn and upsetting picture juxtaposing her tone and the melody beautifully.

The effects-driven music video is a collaborative effort with a friend, Jason Vas. The video was shot in her bedroom on her laptop but offers a unique viewing experience that includes three outfit changes. I would definitely recommend checking it out immediately.
