Offie Mag Presents: The Great Escape First Fifty with Dreya Mac, BXKS and Miso Extra

If you’ve followed Off Licence Magazine since our humble beginnings in one of Brighton’s infamously singled-paned terraced houses, you’ll know that The Great Escape is a special festival to us.

TGE takes over Brighton at that point during the year when spring is turning into summer, filling not only the streets and seafront, but also some of the most iconic and unlikely venues that this town has. From Horatio’s on the pier, to the hotel lobby at Harbour Hotel, to a pub function room at our old local, we’ve seen musicians from all over the world in our hometown thanks to the revered festival.

And this time around, we’re playing our part. On November 17th, the Brighton institution is taking over East London venues, bringing up and coming musicians to spots all over Hackney. We’re hosting a night at TN’s in Dalston, putting Dreya Mac, BXKS and Miso Extra on the stage.

Ranging in styles and sounds, you’ll be able to soak in the blend of experimental RnB and softly-spoken rap sounds of Miso Extra…

…and, the energetic, grime-leaning lyricism of BXKS…

…the uplifting, stage-presence of one of the new gen sounds of British rap in Dreya Mac.

Tickets are available from here at £11.50 each. You can read more about The Great Escape and their First Fifty via the TGE website, too, as the excitement starts to build for the first in-person edition of the festival since 2019. Imagine.
