Bonsi has cited her influences as Burial, Jai Paul and Tirzah, and fans of those will no doubt slip right into Four Faces, her new single.

There's a digital crunch to this track that sits on the soft side of experimental. It's glitchy but not garish. Easy listening for the open-minded. The South Bristol-based artist released a debut EP back in 2020 titled Sustain that gained the attention of no-lesser selecor than BBC Radio’s Huw Stephens.

 

A city that has a rich history of independent music culture, sub-genres and good small venues, Bonsi's new track is a reminder for all who needed one to check new sounds coming out of Bristol, and Four Faces is a taste of more new music to come from this artist.
