Byron The Aquarius: Bank Holiday Special (Jazz Café, London, 02/05)

Deep house you can scuba dive in. Byron The Aquarius is credited on some of the best soulful club music you have ever heard, and he’s uncredited on even more of it.

Musclecars All Night Long (Signal, New York, 02/05)

‘One day,’ writes this UK-based music journalist, ‘One day I will see Musclecars play all night long in New York City.’

Origins x Small Talk: Anz & OK Williams (Palais, London, 15/05)

NTS mainstays, Anz & OK Williams join forces for a night of forward-thinking club music in South London’s newest restored first-floor cocktail bar, listening space and 500-capacity basement built for music.

Factories make things. BASE Milano makes club nights. Big ones. Ten years deep, they’re marking it with a 6pm–5am, free-entry blowout.

Rainbow Disco Club (Lofi, Amsterdam, 23/05)

GVB have soundtracked Amsterdam for years. Mostly with “please don’t forget to check out” as you sing your way through traffic in a tram. Lofi, in a former GVB bus garage, offers a better alternative. Rainbow Disco Club returns to celebrate it.

The Late Night Service (Djoon, Paris, 23/05)

Soul and disco until the early hours in the French capital, where the demand for this kind of thing is strong, where Djoon has been a staple venue for over 20 years. Millos Kaiser, Merchant, Richard Fribert and Cannelle are all expert crate diggers and all on the bill.

Up Ya Archives (Volks, Brighton 29/05)

One of the few places in the UK with a licence to play music good and loud until 7 am, we want to see Volks win. And so does Nia Archive. Watch the sunrise from the smoking area.

Natural Selectors with DJ Plead (The Love Inn, Bristol, 29/05)

Australia to Bristol by way of Lebanon. Long way to come, so do make him feel the Love at the Inn.
