E Lundquist returns with new single ‘My Wings’ alongside India Blue

E Lundquist starts the rollout for his November album Chasing My Reflections with new single ‘My Wings’, featuring Glasgow’s India Blue of Azamiah, and it’s a track that instantly settles into its own atmosphere.

Built around a funk leaning R&B instrumental, ‘My Wings’ moves at a laid-back pace. The pianos, coloured by tape effects, give it a worn-in feel, like it’s been lived with and replayed over time. The overall groove gently lifts the energy from a subtle nod to a more genuine head bounce. Guitar licks and synthesised flourishes add texture throughout, elevating the production without crowding the space, allowing India Blue’s vocals to sit right at the centre.

India Blue’s vocal performance ties everything together. Her delivery feels effortless, floating across the instrumental with a softness that never loses its emotional weight. There’s a looseness to the way she approaches certain melodies that gives the track its hypnotic quality, while still carrying a real sense of clarity and conviction. Lyrically, ‘My Wings’ centres around release and self-preservation, touching on themes of freedom, growth and letting go of the people or thoughts that keep you grounded in the wrong way. It gives the track an emotional depth that sits naturally within the warmth of the production rather than overpowering it.

With ‘My Wings’ setting the tone, Chasing My Reflections is already shaping up to be a project worth keeping on the radar ahead of its November release.
