Ebi Soda tease upcoming album with dreamy new track ‘Feely’

Following the trap-influenced Bamboo, the Ebi-boys are back with 'Feely' — a cello-laden, soft-hued reverie that marks the first time they’ve brought the cello into their sonic world.

The part is performed by Malachi Siner-Cheverst, adding a cinematic depth to a track that gently sets the tone for their upcoming album, frank dean and andrew — a project born from the alchemy of tangled cables, humming amps, and brassy exhalations during farmhouse recording sessions.

But 'Feely' breaks the album’s mould slightly, offering a return to the band’s softer roots. “We’d recorded most of the album at the mansion when we decided we wanted to bolster the tracklist with another session at Will’s flat in Woodford,” they explain. “'Feely' was recorded there, during business hours of the shop beneath the flat.”

Though sonically familiar, the band’s seven years of writing and production experience shine through on this ambient, jazz, and trip-hop blend. It’s textured and nostalgic — and it unintentionally steered the record toward its now-cinematic arc.

frank dean and andrew is due out in September and represents the culmination of Ebi Soda’s instinctive jam sessions and layered experimentation. Expect instrument-swapping, genre-blurring, and a fearless embrace of chaos as the six-piece collective steps into a bold new chapter.
