FELLAS drop 'SILLAGE' under Root Records

While we eagerly await the debut EP NDONTI from Toulouse’s FELLAS, via Root Records, the band has provided us with ‘SILLAGE’, it perfectly captures the essence of Sergio Leone’s ‘Once Upon A Time In America’. Built around a cold Rhodes loop with space filling delays and a dirty backbeat, ‘SILLAGE’ builds up to a saxophone-led climax before melting away into a hypnotic two-step rhythm.

FELLAS seamlessly blend influences from fashion and cinema with their roots in the local jazz and hip-hop scenes coming together to create a unique sound that reflects their leader Charlie Burg’s French-Italian heritage and how he has been inspired by black American music.

On ‘SILLAGE’, FELLAS say that they have translated scent into music, crafting an amber atmosphere that captivates your ears. This track is just a taste of what’s to come from their upcoming EP NDONTI. Dive into ‘SILLAGE’ now!
