Vans Shop Riot, the strictly street skate competition that pits the most revered skate shops against each other, reverted and manualed its way to Manchester for 2023.

With qualifiers having taken place across 14 different countries, it all came down to one action-packed weekend where some of the finest skaters in Europe took to the ramps and more of Graystone. From best trick battles to DJ sets, Offie Mag were there to snap the action on copious amounts of film.

Born out of a grassroots event at Burnside Skatepark in the Netherlands in 2009, Vans Shop Riot has grown and grown since, becoming a celebration and competition for skateboarding long before it found its way onto the Olympic stage.

Whilst only those with medals got the chance to hold up novelty size cheques, skateboarding, and more specifically the unique communities that skate shops build in their local cities, were the real winner. Now go on, have a scroll through the photos.
