North London-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Léa Mondo blends influences from soul, high life, bossa-nova and jazz to name but a few, while taking inspiration from Malian artists such as Fatoumata Diawara.

Lea’s debut EP Rising Woman released under Wah Wah 45s, tells a story of growth and strength. The 6 song collection written between 2018 and 2023, shows how she has overcome the challenges that life has presented her and each track reflects her experiences of spirituality, politics, mental health, and self-love. With this being her first extended release, Lea is starting as she means to go on.

Rising Woman shows us, through music, what has played a role in making her the woman she is today.
