Mercury is blasting off with Merczone

Mercury has been a pretty much constant fixture in the Offie Mag Music Of The Month playlist this year and excitingly, she has dropped her debut album Merczone released via Honeymoon.

Featured on the project is new single 'High2GetBy’ co-produced with Nephew Hesh and in her own words "(it) is a song I wrote when I was in LA. It’s really about me and how I cope to exist in life and the small things that make me happy about my life and help me to get by. It’s also a double entendre of the little things in life that make you feel high." You can watch the video for 'High2GetBy' below.

The 14-track project explores Mercury’s sonic passions and influences and represents how she has risen over the years to become the artist that she is today. In the space of underground rap music we see more artists following whatever is trending, there is nothing wrong with that as long as you’re able to still make music which is truly individual to you and Mercury does this here.

Drifting through trap is obviously familiar for the Atlanta native but having underground legend Ethereal on production for 'PHAT PACK' and 'BE POPPIN' is truly special and a call back to her hometown in a project that’s sound is heavily rooted in the New York alt scene with Jersey, sample drill and jerk featuring throughout.
