Offie Mag Launches Monthly Club Night in Brighton

Off Licence Magazine is launching a new monthly club night in its hometown of Brighton & Hove.

The Offie Mag Social will be a regular Saturday night residency at Alphabet, the city-centre venue just off Churchill Square, bringing together Offie Mag DJs alongside friends and collaborators from the magazine’s extended community.

For the past eight years, Offie Mag has hosted independent club nights, gigs and one-off events across the UK. Last summer saw the magazine take its dancefloor on tour, with parties in venues across the country. But until now, the publication has never had a permanent monthly club night residency.

Brighton felt like the natural place to start.

The city remains one of the UK’s most creative coastal hubs, but the economics of nightlife have shifted. As venues face rising costs and financial pressure, programming increasingly leans toward reliable, high-volume formats. And we love an 80s night, but not every weekend.

That reality has helped keep important venues open - but it also leaves less space for grassroots, music-first club nights that happen consistently.

The Offie Mag Social is intended to fill a small part of that gap: a regular dancefloor centred around good records, good sound systems and a local scene that deserves somewhere to gather.

Expect Offie Mag DJs up in Alphabet’s crow’s nest booth, with friends and special guests joining them - artists, DJs and collaborators who have crossed paths with the magazine over the years.

The first edition lands on Saturday 28 March, running from 10:30pm–2am.

A limited number of £5 early tickets will be available, with general admission at £10. There’s also a £12 ticket option that includes a copy of Offie Mag Issue Seventeen: SPACE, which can be collected at the venue on the night.

Music you can dance to. Every month.
