Brighton seafront has seen a wave of change in recent years. Shooshh and Coalition have made way for Horizon, Tide and Players Battle Bar. Now, The Arch is next in line for a transformation. The venue is set to reopen this autumn as Quarters.
Quarters is the latest project from AMAAD (A Man About A Dog), the team behind Junction 2, LWE, The Prospect Building and Boundary Festival. A full refurbishment is underway, with new lighting, an upgraded sound system and fresh interiors all expected.
Speaking to DJ Mag, AMAAD’s founders said:
“We have a long track record of transforming ideas into culturally significant projects, and we’re very excited about Quarters. We aim to showcase world-class talent while also providing a platform for collaboration with Brighton’s diverse creative community. We’ve always loved Brighton’s independent attitude and see a great opportunity to build a forward-thinking venue that supports a wide range of culture in the area.”
With plans to bring major names to the city, Quarters could help put Brighton back on the map for touring artists - something the city has increasingly missed out on in recent years. Backed by motivated owners and experienced promoters, we hope that it shapes up to be a promising new chapter for Brighton’s nightlife.
No pressure AMAAD!
