The rooftop. A perfect place for a late-night blem, an extremely overpriced bar, or for Brian Eno’s godson to show off just how sick he is. Fear not—this isn’t about the talents of Fred Again.., but about the new single from London-based musician and artist Yoni Mayraz.

‘Rooftops’ is a rather fitting title for this trio-driven track, elevated by lush strings and rich textures that’ll have you floating right up to the top floor. Known for blending jazz with 90s hip hop, old-school breakbeats, and Middle Eastern music to create shimmering new hybrid forms, Mayraz is onto a winner here—and in the words of Harry Redknapp, this one’s going “right to the very top”.

‘Rooftops’ is just a glimpse of what’s to come, with a new album dropping this autumn. It sees Mayraz dive into his own fears and desires while continuing his experimental, outward-looking approach to instrumental music—merging jazz with modern, electronic, and avant-garde influences.
