Check out some fresh French funk from Encelade

If you have been following Off Licence Magazine for long enough, you will have noticed that our coverage is funk-favourable.

So this number, Madame Mirage from Canada-based French artist Encelade, has been going down a treat. Sounding like it's from a different decade, it's jazz fusion with lots of lovely guitar solos and synth runs.

Released this summer, it's a fresh single with a heritage feel. Apparently inspired by 'a dream where he fell in love with woman without a face,' the origins of the track are just as good as the end-result.

The tempo changes and the way it evolves from spaced out to borderline disco, make it one we're eager to play out at an Offie Mag DJs booking soon. If you're looking for more Offie Mag music selection, head to our Music of the Month playlist.
