OFFIE MAG'S LONG HOT SUMMER TICKETS

Guohan curates our ‘Don’t Call It Lo-fi Beats’ playlist to celebrate latest release

Guohan is back. To celebrate the release of his latest, The City of the Sun and Moon, we invited the Ningbo native to curate our ‘Don’t Call It Lo-fi Beats’ playlist, acknowledging his favourite instrumental music.

Now based in Nottingham, the producer’s unique influences and effortless style have shined through on this, his Darker Than Wax label debut.

(Tremendous artwork deisgned by Guohan himself)

Guohan’s well-received 2021 debut LP Lost Sound Book was supported by the likes of Charlie Bones, Toshio Matsuura, Ninja Tune and time and time by Offie Mag Radio. And we've already delved into City of the Sun and Moon plenty, too, appreciating those amazing textures that Guohan constructs.

Aside from producing and co-founding Nottingham-based label Running Circle Records, Guohan also co-runs Meridian Sounds, an imprint from southern China pushing sounds from his motherland.

All of the above makes Guohan more than capable of curating the Offie Mag instrumental playlist which you can follow on Spotify.

A few of our favourite selections:

Idoni Ya Manzi by Mag’Oveni and Zinhle

In Your Soul by Schmoov!

Act Funny by Atsushi Yano

Follow Guohan on Instagram and Bandcamp.
