OFFIE MAG'S LONG HOT SUMMER TICKETS

Music of the Month: August 2022

If only the cost of living was more like underground music, constantly dropping.

Yet again, filling up our Spotify and (more importantly) Buy Music Club playlists has been very easy, with no drought of new music in August. And there are some unmissable bits in here.

Like a verse from the late MF DOOM alongside Jay Electronica on Sonnyjim & The Purist's Barz Simpson. Like Henry Wu dropping sassy vocals on the old-school-house-feeling Know Betta. Like a new rough cut from Pretty V, a room-filling banger from Scottish producer Nostalgiac featuring KISH! and some Australian RnB from honey.

Fresh off the main stage at We Out Here festival, Kokoroko make the cut with their brand new album Could We Be More - their biggest and most brilliant release yet. And sticking with music you can't help but move to, we dare you to bump that new Nu Genea whilst tidying the house - you'll be dancing with your hoover.

Just don't leave it plugged in for too long, cost of living, innit.
